Another one of my favourite and beautiful places in North Wales .. with such a poignant story.
The Beddgelert story tells of Prince Llywelyn the Great who, upon returning home, tragically kills his faithful dog Gelert, believing the blood on the dog and the overturned cradle meant Gelert had killed his baby; however, he soon discovers his child safe and a dead wolf, realising Gelert had actually saved his son from the wolf.
